Citizenship and immigration Canada (CIC) has performed the 21st draw for Canadian immigration through the Express Entry Selection program on November 27, 2015. The comprehensive ranking system (CRS) points for November dropped to minimum of 472, making it a total of 1,559 invitations to apply (ITAS) for Canadian permanent residence issued to candidates.

This draw represent a significant decrease in the CRS point requirement in order for a candidate in pool to be issued an ITA, compared with the previous (20th) draw, which had a minimum CRS requirement of 484.

Express Entry is not an immigration program in itself, but rather a system used by Citizenship and immigration Canada (CIC) to select candidates for immigration to Canada using the following economic immigration programs:
  • Federal Skilled Workers Class (formerly the Federal Skilled Worker Program)
  •  Federal Skilled Trade Class (formerly the Federal Skilled Trades Program)
  • Canadian Experience Class
  • Provincial Nominee Programs
The first step to go about Express Entry is to determine your eligibility for one of those programs listed above by completing an assessment form. if you are eligible, you can move to the next step in the process. if you are not currently eligible, you may strive to become eligible by improving your core human capital factors in areas such as your:
  • Skills
  • Work experience
